A stroll in the park of my poems

Enclosed within the strongest of walls,
Lies the safely guarded inner child,
Scribbling on the same strong walls,
The imaginative dreams the child had,
Before life and people started being unfair,
Before the little one was broken and healed,
Many times through the passage of time,
But not anymore for the child to be placed,
Far away from the reach of society,
Far from the people who can cause hurt,
After what seems like a long long time,
One fine day, the adult finally opens the door,
Visiting the inner child inside those thick walls with scribbles,
Asking for what the child desires, now that they’re adults,
Now they are strong and with resources at their whim,
The child asks, are we really that strong with awe,
The adult self boasts, yes, we become strong and powerful,
So that we never have to feel and suffer being weak ever,
The child smiles proudly and turns to their adult self saying,
Can we make sure that no other child goes through,
Our pain and anguish now that we are strong and powerful.
