You, the you you see in yourself,
Not the old one to the younger ones,
Or the young one to the older ones,
Not a contemporary to your rivals,
Or a friend on whom one can rely for their survival,
Not a cog in the wheel of society,
Or a rebel to start and organise a mutiny,
Are you a kid who promised themselves,
A world if they make it through their pain,
Does the adult you remember those promises,
Or are they lost in the time to go in vain,
Maybe it’s time to knock on the closed doors,
In the minds deepest parts and embrace the child,
Tell them you have made it and the world is theirs to explore.
